We figured you might be wondering – how did you guys come up with your company name? What does it mean? How do you pronounce it? And how does it relate to Provider Pulse?
So, here goes.
Our company name is Cuore. (Pronounced “Quarr-Ayy” btw). And it means “heart” in Italian. John studied in Italy for three months, so that was part of the origin story, but honestly, John was hesitant to jump onboard fully with it as the company name. He thought it would be too hard to pronounce and thought it might make people think we were a company in the cardiovascular specialty.
In short order, the name grew on John, and he now loves it! The name has a lot of great qualities. Unique – nobody has trademarked it yet! It is short – only 5 letters, so it’s not a mouthful for our team and users. And it gets to our mission. We care about people and want to sustain the heart of caring for healthcare providers.
That is the link in to our first product Provider Pulse. As a company, Cuore is launching our first product line aimed at detecting and reducing burnout in healthcare. Using machine learning algorithms, our software will provide risk metrics of burnout to healthcare managers to provide early detection of burnout within their clinicians.
We want to preserve the good that is still happening in healthcare and sustain the heartbeat of providers in medicine. Being a clinician is tough. You’re expected to be empathetic, efficient, enthusiastic, and the expert all while managing the immense administrative burdens that come running a clinic. We need to keep our providers healthy and not dreading their work that was once their passion. With Provider Pulse, we want to help reverse the spiral of burnout and help healthcare managers know how to identify burnout and work to restore the heart of caring within their clinicians. Stay tuned for new updates on where we are making an impact!
